A Way Back Home
Following on from the British Inquiry into Child Migration, the British Government has announced the establishment of a £1 million fund to assist former Child Migrants to re-establish contact with close family in Britain.
To qualify for assistance from the fund, former child migrants will have to be able to show that they have traced a close relative (mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, or uncle) and that they wish to reunite for the first time, but cannot meet the costs of travel to Britain. All inquiries must be addressed to the International Social Service of the UK (Australian contacts are listed below).

C-BERS Services continues to provide funding for travel to the United Kingdom and Malta for former Child Migrants who were resident at Christian Brother's child care homes and who wish to make contact with their family, or country of birth.
