If I am able to access the Australian Government Child Migrant Fund through International Social Services (ISS) for my reunification travel, can I then also receive an additional, trip funded by C-BERSS?
C-BERSS aims to assist former Child Migrants to reunite with their family and/or country of origin where there is no other official means of providing for this expense. As our budget is limited, the Management Committee’s guideline is that, if you receive reunification funding through ISS, then C-BERS will not be able to pay for an additional trip. However, we CAN assist you with ISS forms and procedures. We can also provide counselling support both prior to, and after, your trip home to your country and/or family of origin. For those who are not eligible for ISS reunification travel funding, a funding application may be made to C-BERS.
